Soy periodista. Actualmente trabajo como subdirector del diario El Mostrador.cl, donde escribo, edito y me hago cargo entre otras cosas de estrategia digital, desarrollo de nuevos negocios y potenciamiento de marca. Desde que llegué a trabajar en El Mostrador en marzo de 2008, con un gran equipo, el sitio web ha aumentado sus visitas en casi un 800% (marzo 2008-2011), es cada vez es más influyente, y los ingresos de la empresa han aumentado mucho:).

También soy fundador y CEO de Poderopedia, sitio web dedicado a mantener un registro actualizado de quién es quién en el mundo de los negocios y la política en Chile, en base a contenidos editoriales de fuentes abiertas y crowdsourcing. Poderopedia es uno de los ganadores del Knight News Challenge 2011 y busca promover la transparencia y reflejar conflictos de interés, investigando y mapeando las conexiones entre las personas, organizaciones y compañías más influyentes del país. 

Dependiendo del semestre, hago clases en la Escuela de Periodismo de la Universidad Diego Portales y el Magíster en Edición de la misma universidad. Soy director creativo de los Premios WAW! y, desde mediados de mayo 2001, uno de los creadores de Hacks/Hackers Santiago.

Cuando tenía un tiempo libre, con unos amigos hacíamos un podcast de medios e internet llamado Mediápolis.

I am a journalist, currently working as deputy director of ElMostrador.cl, where I write features, edit, and I am in charge of digital strategy, new business development and brand enhancement. Since I started working at El Mostrador with a great team, the website has increased its traffic almost by 800% (march 2008-2011), it has become more and more influential and revenues have increased in a pretty happy way:).

I am also the founder and CEO of Poderopedia, a editorial and crowdsourced database website that will show you who is who in business and politics in Chile. Poderopedia is one of the 2011 winners of the Knight News Challenge and it aims to promote greater transparency by highlighting the links among the country´s elite. Using data visualization, the site will investigate and illustrate the connections among the most influential people, companies and institutions, shedding light over any conflicts of interest. 

Depending on the time of the year I teach New Media at the School of Journalism at  Universidad Diego Portales and the Masters in Editing and Publishing from the same university. I am the creative director of Premios WAW!  and recently launched Hacks/Hackers Santiago.

When I had some free time, with some great friends, we used to do a podcast about Media and Internet called Mediápolis.
